Their friendship is tested as they must navigate the consequences of their actions and a growing political conflict, culminating in a final confrontation to change Oz. The plot includes Elphaba's continued rebellion, Glinda's struggle with her role, and a surprising twist involving the Wizard's relationship to Elphaba and Madame Morrible's machinations.
